Symbio afternoon

Last Wednesday, N and I, with our mates Jen, Thomo and Alex went to Symbio Wildlife Park and had a super day. They had a few new residents since we last visited - Red Panda's, Marmosets, Meercats and Tasmanian Devil. We really enjoyed the hands-on reptile show. N was the helper during the snake talk...and loved it.

Australia Day

Jen's mothers group (going 10 years now) came down to our area to camp in the Corrimal caravan and camp grounds, which is right next to the beach. We received the call to come down to the beach with them, then we had Australia Day barbeque (BBQ) & beers back at our place. Loud Aussie music, the smell of the BBQ and the constant screaming of joy from the kids made for a great evening. Here's a couple of shots from the BBQ.

Feeding Charlie with Grandad

N feeding Charlie the kookaburra with her grandad Trevor.

After our marathon flight home from Prague (40 hours because of fog in Heathrow!) we had a day with Jen & Bruce before having to get on a domestic flight up to Port Macquarie to spend Christmas with NanJan and grandad. Grandad has made friends with the local kookaburras, especially one he calls Charlie that will eat out of his hands gently.
